SHERMAN, Texas (April 26) – Regardless of how many times they end the night in victory lane, drivers in five IMCA divisions making the most starts at sanctioned events will become winners in the award program re¬newed this season by Jeff’s Performance.

IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers with the highest number of starts during the regular point season receive certificates good for $500 off the purchase of a short block from the Sherman, Texas, engine builder. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMod and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod drivers with the most starts in their respective divisions each get $250 off a short block.

Drivers with the highest start totals in the other four Modified regions, drivers with the second and third highest start totals in both Stock and Hobby regions, and drivers with the second and third highest number of starts in the two SportMod divisions all receive $100 product certificates, which can be applied toward the purchase of a set of cylinder heads or a cam/lifter package.

In the event of a tie, awards will go to the driver finishing higher in final national or regional point standings.

Information about Jeff’s Performance-built engines is available by calling 903 868-1109 and at the www.jeffsperformance.com website.

"The program has been effective in its first couple years and Jeff's Performance wanted to continue down the same path in 2010,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “It takes a great deal of work to start as many races as some of our drivers do, and Jeff's program not only recognizes their effort but hopefully helps drivers freshen or rebuild their equipment in the process."
