Columbus, MS-The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series kicked off its 2004 Tour De Force with a vengeance as 52 MSCCS Super Late Models invaded the South Mississippi Speedway along with a record standing room only crowd at the ¼-mile semi banked speedplant. The top 8 qualifiers were locked into the field with positions 9 through 20 filled via four Cliburn Tank Lines B-Main events. Positions 21 and 22 would be determined by provisional parameters.

The four Cliburn Tank Lines B-Mains would see Dennis Duncan take the first B-Main with David Gentry taking B-Main number 2. B-Main number 3 went to James Dean with the final B-Main winner being Phillip Cooper.

The feature event would see David Breazeale take a quick lead and lead lap 1 before Chris Wall took the lead for the next 18 circuits.
