(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and the #28 team made their annual June trek to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 6-8 to compete in the 25th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which started with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday evening at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, Jimmy finished second in his heat race and ran in the top five through much of the 25-lap feature before winding up seventh in the final finishing order. In a similar $10,000 to win show on Friday night at the "Big E," Jimmy placed fourth in his stacked heat race before moving up to twelfth in the 25-lap sprint.

A huge crowd then gathered at Eldora Speedway on Saturday to watch a lucky driver capture the hefty $125,000 payday in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Jimmy had a great starting spot for his heat race - due to his strong prelim efforts - but his night was cut short early in the heat when he was wrecked from behind by another competitor. Severe damage to his #28 machine kept the Menomonie, Wisconsin ace from returning to the racetrack and Jimmy unfortunately missed out on transferring into the 100-lap grand finale. The Mars Racing team is about ready to embark on a hectic weekend in their home state, which will see them compete in the annual 'Masters' at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from June 13-15. Jimmy is scheduled to unload both a Late Model and a USMTS Modified on all three days to vie for the $3,000 top prize in both classes on Thursday, the $5,000 winner's check in both classes on Friday, and the $10,000 windfall for each division on Saturday.
