Joey Montgomery holds off Worley Jr. for sprint victory at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 14, 2005) Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown passed Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck for the lead in the sprint car feature midway through the event and then hung on for the remainder of the 25-lap race for the victory. Jerrod Hull of Sikeston captured third place with Bryan Matthews fourth and Jason Keith fifth. They were followed by Daniel Adler, Jimmy Hurley, Terry Babb, A.J. Bruns and Bob Thoman.

Timmy Montgomery won the first heat with Hull second and Terry Babb third. Joey Montgomery won the second heat with Worley second and Keith third. Matthews won the third heat with Thoman second and Tim Moss third. Thoman won the trophy dash with Worley second and Timmy Montgomery third. Bruns won the "B" main with Sean Walden second and Dale Campbell third.

In the Modified class, Kenny Kennedy of Farmington drove his #16 modified to victory lane in the feature with Jeremy Greenwalt of Potosi second, Joe Giesler of St. Mary third, Kasey Burch of Farmington fourth and Brent Thompson of Farmington fifth. They were followed by Mike Francis, Billy Smith, Mike Crader, Lou Driemeier and Tommy Worley Sr.
Kennedy won the first heat with Francis second and Danny Resinger third. Giesler won the second heat with Crader second and Smith third. Greenwalt won the third heat with Driemeier second and Worley third. Burch won the fourth heat with Thompson second and Steve Maisel third. Chris Boyd won the "B" main with Billy Mayberry second and Danny Sissom third.
In the Sportsmen class, Kasey Nations of Park Hills won his third consecutive feature after holding off Matt Eaton for the victory. Kent Nations finished third with Doug Savage fourth and Kevin Mosier fifth. They were followed by Randy Forster, Kenny Harris, Leonard Betsch, Kyle Stolzer and Chuck Adams.
Forster won the first heat with Eaton second and Harris third. Kasey Nations won the second heat with Kent Nations second and Savage third.
In the 600cc Multi class, Tom Dickerman continued his winning ways by picking up another feature win. Dereck King finished in second place with Dustin Barks third, Ryan Criswell fourth and Tyler Robbins fifth. They were followed by Tommy Boyd, Rodney Williams, Jeremy Boyer, Kara King and Andy Moss.
Dickerman won the first heat with Tommy Boyd second and Williams third. Barks won the second heat with Criswell second and Dereck King third. Junior Ferguson won the third heat with Robbins second and Matt Dotson third. In the "B" main, Jeremy Boyer was the winner with Jimmy Bridgeman second and Kara King third.
In the Pure Street class, Pete Koenig of Farmington was the feature winner with Mark Todd second, Michael Abney third, Jeff Beeson fourth and Derek Shipman fifth. They were followed by Randy Forster, Ryan Robins, Allen King, Mike Weiny and Kevin Cloninger.
Koenig won the first heat with Theran Pearl second and Abney third. Shipman won the second heat with Josh DeSpain second and Todd third.
This Saturday night is Gateway Nationals Night featuring the Sprints, Multis, Modified and the Midgets. The Sportsmen and the Pure Street classes will be off. It is also Belgrade State Bank Night at SFCR.
