FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Oct. 4, 2003) Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown led the 30-lap Queen's Royale from start to finish to place his name among the elite sprint car drivers to win high-profile event since it's inception in 1995.
Montgomery started from the inside pole position after winning the trophy dash and was never headed by some of the finest sprint car talent in the Midwest. Terry Babb finished in second place with Lee Dunn third, Robbie Standridge fourth and Tom Busch fifth. They were followed by Danny Smith, Jason Keith, Rod Crabdree, Steve Short and Tim Montgomery (driving the #35m car of Tim Moss).

Chad Souders won the first heat with Dunn second. Joey Montgomery won the second heat with Standridge second. Busch won the third heat with Babb second. Jerrod Hull won the fourth heat with Crabdree second and Joey Moughan won the fifth heat with Paul Patterson second. Jay Landolt won the first semi with Jason Keith winning the second semi.
In the 360 sprint car feature, Timmy Montgomery was the winner as he drove the #4 of Ted Adams to victory. Joey Montgomery was second with Eric Schrock third, Mike Trent fourth and Marshall Skaggs fifth. Joey Montgomery won the first heat race with Timmy Montgomery winning the second.
Casey Barnhouse of Farmington was the winner of the 600cc Multi feature with Junior Ferguson taking second place, Lance McKinney third, Brad Loyet fourth and Tony Roney fifth.
