Dirt Late Model Champion Wins First Race with Roush Yates Engines

Mooresville, NC (April 5, 2010) - Josh Richards, 2009 World of Outlaws Dirt Late Model Champion, took the win Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway with his Roush Yates powered Ford mustang. Richards, also known as "Kid Rocket", put on a stunning performance by winning his heat race as well as the feature.

Saturday's wins marked the first outing for Richards with a Roush Yates engine. Roush Yates, a leader in power and performance on all levels of racing, is always excited to see their engines in the winner's circle.

"We are proud to be associated with champion drivers such as Josh Richards" said Roush Yates Engines CEO, Doug Yates. "His input to our Dirt Late Model program is greatly appreciated and will help us continue in our commitment to succeed in these racing series. We look forward to seeing Richards win more races this season."

Richards won the first Late Model point show of the season at Hagerstown while driving the No. 25 Ernie Davis Motorsports car. Roush Yates Engines will use Saturday's race to gain valuable feedback for their new Dirt Late Model engine package.

"The track was awesome!" said Richards. "You could race anywhere you wanted. I had fun there racing with Frankie for the lead. A win is a great way to start this new relationship with Roush Yates Engines. I had a lot of fun tonight and appreciate Jeff Clark and Mike Kasch being here with us."

The next outing for Richards with Roush Yates power will be Saturday, April 24 at Hagerstown Speedway in the Lucas Oil 29th Annual Stanley Schetrompf Classic. Stay tuned for more winning performance results from Roush Yates Engines.
