JULY 13, 2007--DOE RUN, MO It was a night of firsts at Doe Run Raceway last night as Brian Keen earned his first ever feature win in the 600cc Multi class and the track played host to a group of local lawn mower racers.

Keen, who earned his front row starting spot in the 20 lap A-Main by winning his heat race, lined up alongside Chris Scott and paced the field to the green flag. The field is to remain side by side until they reach the starting line, which resulted in two false starts before getting 1 complete lap. From then on, it was Keen all the way, leading all 20 laps through numerous caution flags. Jeff Wurst applied pressure, but couldn't complete the pass, and as the checkered flew it was Keen in front. Wurst settled for second, Bob Lynn third, Scott fourth and Sam Miller fifth.

Scott won the first heat, Wurst second and Lynn third. Following Keen across the stripe in the second heat was Jeremy Boyer in second and Miller in third.

Two groups of lawn mowers were on hand for the evening, a group of Semi-Stock mowers and a second, faster group of modified mowers. Between both groups, a total of 16 mowers were on hand and put on an exellent show for the fans. Cash led the first 9 laps of the 12 lap main event. Gretzmacher had victory in his sights though and on lap 10 made his pass stick, going on to earn the right to carry the checkered flag. Cash finished second, Damien Atchley third, Lee Stuppy fourth and Jesse Wright fifth.

Cash won the first heat, Atchley second and Mackenzie Roney third. Gretzmacher won the second heat, Wright second and Travis Almon third.

Ron Moser finished second behind Burch in the main event, Bob Wright third, Denver Counts fourth and Jimmy Thurman fifth.
