Schrader's Thoughts On The Track...
"I think everyone is really looking forward to getting back to Rockingham this weekend. The little "M & M's"® Pontiac was really good there in the spring. We had a tremendous qualifying effort, and I really thought the car was strong enough to finish in the top 10. Unfortunately, we got a little dinged up during the race, and our motor let go with about nine laps left and we didn't get the finish we wanted.

"Our season started off really strong, and we came to Rockingham in February really pumped up about the year. We're going back to Rockingham with that same attitude. The guys on the No. 36 team have worked hard all season, we just haven't been able to catch a break. Our goal is to finish out this season with a string of solid finishes, and we want to start that right now."

"M & M's"® Racing Team At North Carolina Speedway...

Ken Schrader and the "M & M's"® Racing Team posted their top qualifying effort of the 2002 season at Rockingham earlier this season. Schrader turned the second quickest lap at "The Rock" in February, and started from the outside pole for the season's second race. Teammate Johnny Benson qualified third. Schrader and the entire No. 36 crew are hoping to recapture some of that qualifying magic as they return to Rockingham this weekend.

Long considered a top qualifier, Schrader has 23 poles and 16 outside poles to his credit. Of these, one came in the sand hills of North Carolina when he started from the point position during the 1990 fall race. Schrader has also started from the outside pole three times, including earlier this season.

Schrader has scored 10 top-10 finishes at Rockingham, and he is hoping to add another top-10 finish to that record this weekend.

"Rockingham is a fun little track," Schrader said. "The track has two pretty solid racing grooves, and that really leads to some fun and exciting racing. I'm definitely looking forward to having fun on Sunday. This "M & M's"® team is due a top 10, and I would like nothing better than to get it this weekend."
