Holmesville, OH (3/7/05)- All time All Star Circuit of Champions feature winner, Kenny Jacobs, and his wife, Kim, were injured in a traffic accident Saturday afternoon in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Jacobs were in town on vacation during the annual Bike Week festivities and were riding their motorcycle south on A1A. Traffic was backed up as they were approaching an intersection. They were in the right lane and a car in the center lane motioned a car across from the left lane. That car crossed the center lane and ran into their motorcycle. Both were tossed off the motorcycle.
Kenny has sustained broken ribs, a gash to back of head that required staples to close the wound, and a sore hip. Kim received the most serious injuries. She has a broken shoulder socket, broken upper arm, and a crushed elbow. She underwent surgery on the elbow Saturday night.
