TAMPA, FL – NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace of St. Louis, MO will return to compete with the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series on Wednesday night at East Bay Raceway Park. Wallace will take a break from his Nextel Cup and Busch Grand National Series driving duties at Daytona International Speedway to compete with the StormPay.com DLMS for the second time this season.

Wallace drove in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series season opener at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on January 8 where he started 14th and finished ninth.

For Wednesday night’s East Bay Raceway Park event, Wallace will team up with National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inductee and former NASCAR driver Jeff Purvis of Clarksville, TN in a StormPay.com Rayburn car powered by a 604 GM Performance Crate engine.

“I really enjoy running with the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series because the crate engine format makes everything equal and affordable for all racers,” Wallace said. “I’m really looking forward to teaming up with a dirt track legend like Jeff Purvis.”

The GM Performance Crate engines in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series are built and sealed at the factory. The engines are readily available at GM dealers and come right out of the crate and into a waiting late model chassis for a tenth of the cost of a specially built engine.

Along with Kenny Wallace and Jeff Purvis, the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series field at East Bay Raceway Park includes the top two in the current series National point standings Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN and Shannon Buckingham of Morristown, TN. Top local entries include Monday night winner Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, FL and Rusty Dixon of Riverview, FL.

East Bay Raceway Park is located five miles south of I-4 on U.S. Highway 41. For more information about East Bay Raceway Park, visit the track web site at www.eastbayracewaypark.com.
