Camargo, IL (3-20-10) by Kelly Brown Public Relations Director In Spain they may have the running of the bulls, but tonight the O Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions had their own running of Bulls Gap. In the second night of Kasey s King of Bulls Gap presented by Budweiser, a co-sanctioned event with the O Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws, Jason Meyers outran Lance Dewease and Brad Sweet to celebrate in Victory Lane.

Starting on the front row of the main event was dash winner Craig Dollansky and Lance Dewease. When racing action took center stage, Dewease shot out to an early lead, leaving Dollansky and Jason Meyers to battle for second.
It did not take long for Meyers to pull to the inside of Dollansky and take the second spot away.

The first caution flag of the night flew on lap 4 when Daryn Pittman, Cale Conley, and Terry McCarl tangled in turn 4. When racing action resumed the red flag came out almost instantly as there were two different flips on the track. Joey Saldana, last night s winner and Tim Kaeding, both ended up on their wings, but walked away from the incidents.

When the cars got rolling again, third place running Dollansky pulled off the track with mechanical difficulties. When another restart was attempted, a four car melee ensued. In turns 3 and 4, Kraig Kinser, Sam Hafertepe, Lucas Wolfe, and Cap Henry spun to a stop. When the race got back underway Meyers took center stage, battling Dewease for the lead, but Dewease held on to it. Brad Sweet immediately closed on the 14. With ten laps in the book, Dewease was in the lead with Meyers, Sweet, Tim Shaffer, and Steve Kinser in tow.

At this point of the evening Meyers took the spotlight in traffic. As the top-three were battling nose-to-tail in traffic, Meyers was able to get by Dewease to establish himself in the top spot on lap 14. At this point Meyers pulled away leaving Sweet in pursuit of Dewease. Sweet would get on the inside of Dewease, but was not able to execute the pass.

At the half-way point of tonight s race, the real race was for who would finish in the top-five. Kinser and Shaffer traded fourth back and forth before Kinser took it and started to close on Sweet. Shaffer would battle back catching Kinser and pulling to his side, but was not able to get past.
With ten laps left, Paul McMahan made his bid to finish in the top five when he got around Shaffer. McMahan quickly caught Kinser and took over the fourth position.

With three laps to go there was a sense of desperation as Meyers had pulled out to over a three second lead. The battle for second was on as Sweet pulled to the inside of Dewease, but once again the 30c was too strong.
With the checkered flag in the air, Meyers took the win with Dewease, Sweet, McMahon, and Kinser rounding out the top-five.

This was Meyers third win this season with the Outlaws and his first with the All Stars. Out of the full-time All Stars, Shaffer and Blaney represented the series well finishing sixth and seventh, respectfully. Also making the A main was Bill Rose, Rookie-of-the-Year competitor Cap Henry, and Greg Wilson.
The O Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will return to action on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10 when they invade Attica Raceway Park for HD Supply Spring Nationals. Top three quotes

Race winner Jason Meyers Outlaws wins are always big. My guys are doing a heck of a job. It was a long ride to the hotel last night and a long ride back here this morning. We were really upset with ourselves last night. But these guys keep digging. We could not do this without everybody who helps out with the team and all our fans out there. Thank you to Kasey and Budweiser for putting this on. The track was one lane last night, but it was great tonight.

Second place Lance Dewease Like I said earlier, we switched cars after last night. We chased it all night. We got a little better, but still needed to improve. My hat is off to Matt Kramer. We are a one person crew and we had some help tonight. We were just hanging on the last ten laps. I think we cooked a fresh motor in there and were trying to save the tires.
The track was taking rubber between three and four, and we just wanted to get to the end. Brad was pretty good last night in the middle stage. We were very fortunate to come home second. Thank you to the fans for coming out and supporting this deal.

Third Place Brad Sweet The car was awesome. We got going pretty good there. We gave Lance and Jason a run for their money there for a little bit. My car kept getting better and better there at the end of the race. It was awesome. A hat s off to my guys who gave me a great car all weekend.
Any time you can run with the Outlaws and have two top-five finishes, you have to be happy. I have to thank all my guys. It is a big team effort. We brought out four cars this weekend and they all ran up front.
