spoon?

Hey Bus....
You have any info on Spoon?
I have some rain tickets, but dont' have any times or anything for the race.

someone help me understand

I am not that well with keeping up on present events, so could someone tell me whats up with the x car? I thought he was 00? I drive by his house everyday on my way to work, and I have seen the black x car there. In any case, GO RANDY!

The X car should be lettered by this weekend and will be 00. The car is a new Rayburn that Randy ran for the first time Saturday at I-55. The graphics were not finished in time so they just put an X on the side to test the car at Pevely.

As far as the car being black, Randy just decided to try a black car again for a while. Maybe next year he can do a "Back in Black" t-shirt or something....LOL.

Go 00 !!

Hey Bus

What was the reasoning behind getting the Rayburn back in the mix at Korte Racing?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new car when it gets lettered.

The "X" Factor

Randy and the crew did not like the results they were getting out of the Rockets on slicked over, rubbered-up race tracks. After talking with CJ Rayburn at length the weekend of the Topless, they came up with a deal to get Randy back into a Rayburn at the tracks he feels it would help him. He has not given up on the Rockets, they are very fast cars when the traction is there and they will continue to win races. Randy and the crew are just adding another option if they feel the need.

Thanks for asking.

Go 00 !!!!

RAYBURN///

IF YOU CHECK THE STATS RAYBURN WINS MORE TIMES THAN ANY OUTHER CHASIS- MAKES SENSE TO DRIVE THE ONE WITH THE RECORD- AND NOW IS THE TIME- BIG BUCKS AHEAD.

Bus

Thanks for the reply.

What tracks does Randy think that the Rayburn will help him?

Another question....I have tickets for the DTWC. Is Randy planning on running that race?

Racefan1932 is all over it. There are some big races over the next couple weeks. There''s a lot to win this weekend, the World next weekend, and the Pepsi Nationals the week after that.

Good luck to Randy and crew and may the X factor find its way to victory lane this weekend.

95Fan,
I don't think it is a track thing as much as a track condition thing. At races that draw a large field of cars, whatever track that may be, the tracks seem to slick over and become very rubbered-up....this is the condition that they have struggled with from time to time and the thinking is that the Rayburn by nature of how it is built is going to be better at the end of a race in this condition. This is not to say that a Rocket won't work on this type of track, but Randy and the crew have not had the best luck setting up the Rockets for it.

As far as the DTWC, with Korte Racing's current situation (sponsorships and all) they just do not plan that far ahead. I think they are enjoying not planning ahead and just racing where they want when they want. I will inquire and let you know at a later date.

QuadSRacing19, as for Korte returning to Highland I really don't know. Randy likes to race at Highland as much as he can, but he does help several drivers (who he has very much respect for) that run at Highland every week and I don't think he wants to wear out his welcome with those guys by running against them all the time. I am sure he will return again sometime this year, I just can't say when that will be.

Please remember the comments above are all my opinions and I have not directly ask Randy any of the questions. If I get any different answers or further explanation from him I will let you know.

Again thanks for your interest in Korte Racing and I hope to meet you all at the track sometime.

Go 00 !!!

I'm just speculating...but the next time you might see the 00 at Highland might be on Saturday September 20th for the 5 grand to win race.

Thanks Bus

I'll try to look you up around Korte's hauler after the Pepsi Nationals.

Thanks for all of the helpful info.

Go 00!
