Randy Korte Wins Lake City, FL Fun Fest

12 cars signed in for the late models. Randy Korte started outside pole and was involved in a first lap altercation that flattened his LR tire. He pitted and restarted in the tail (12th). He gradually drove past cars into the lead, then proceeded to lap up to 3rd place by the time he crossed the checkered for the $2,000 payday. He was in a brand new Rocket with a RaceTek Motor.
Korte was also leading a field of about 18 modifieds in his Cyclone chassis when the motor let go at halfway.
