(October 11, 2012) Buckner, MO - One of the most anticipated weekends on the Lucas Oil MLRA calendar is drawing closer. Capital Federal Presents the Clyde Ellis Late Model Showdown and Modified Shootout Friday October 19th and Saturday October 20th at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS. With the NASCAR weekend going on just up the road, you're never quite sure who will stop in at Lakeside to compete or spectate.
This season the race weekend will culminate with the crowning of John Anderson as the 2012 Lucas Oil MLRA champion. While the top spot isn't in question, second place is certainly up for grabs. Currently , 2012 Rookie of the Year Mark Dotson holds a four point lead over Jesse Stovall.
A limited amount of reserved seating is available. Tickets can either be purchased in advance or at the gate. For more on ticketing information for the event, visit LakesideSpeedway.net. Lakeside Speedway also has camping available.
The Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models will be joined by two complete days of Modified racing as well. The Modifieds will pay $1,500 to win the first night, and $2,000 to win the second night.
The Lucas Oil MLRA (Midwest Latemodel Racing Association) sanctions regional Super Dirt Late Model touring series events in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.
