Larry Shaw BST Colorado Series returns to Phillips County Sunday

HOLYOKE, Colo. (Aug. 10) – Still looking for a repeat winner, the Larry Shaw Racing Blood, Sweat and Tears Colorado Series for IMCA Modifieds returns to Phillips County Raceway for a Sunday, Aug. 15 show.

Dominic Ursetta took the checkers when the tour traveled to Holyoke in late May. National point leader David Murray Jr., Matt Brack, John Hansen and Brady Coen also own BST Colorado victories this season but it’s a pair of more consistent finishers who lead the standings as Eddie Belec and Will Brack are 1-2 in the point race.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The drivers’ meeting is at 5:15 p.m. with hot laps to follow and racing at approximately 6 p.m.

Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $5 for unaccompanied children and free for young fans 15 and under. Pit passes are $25.

The Modified feature pays $500 to win. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are also on the program, racing for all applicable points.

The BST Colorado Series is at Lamar Speedway on Aug. 27.
