Batesville, Arkansas (02/22/11) – Larry Shaw Race Cars customers wreaked havoc on the competition during the course of the sixteen race, Florida Speedweeks as they claimed feature wins in thirteen of the events for Open Wheel Modifieds.

The 2011 Florida Speedweeks for Open Wheel Modifieds spanned sixteen nights at four tracks. Jeff Mathews began the streak of domination for Larry Shaw Race Cars by claiming both events at Lake City Speedway (Lake City, Florida) on January 28th-29th.

The action next shifted to the "Clay By The Bay" at East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Florida), where Jared Landers made a rare Open Wheel Modified start for 2011, and came away with his first ever win at the facility on February 3rd.

Next, many of the nation's top Open Wheel Modified pilots invaded Volusia Speedway Park (Deleon Springs, Florida) for the 40th Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals. The performance that Larry Shaw customers would exhibit during the eight night series would be nothing short of spectacular. Austin Dillon, would break through with the opening night win on February 8th, and would back it up with a win on February 15th. Arkansas driver, Richie Tosh, broke into victory lane on February 12th. North Carolina's Ty Dillon claimed the biggest win of his young career on February 14th, when he topped the $5,000 Gator Championship win. He proved the win was no fluke by also claiming one of the triple features on February 15th. Nascar star, Clint Bowyer, would go on a tear in the series as he piloted his #33 Larry Shaw entry to three wins (February 9th, 10th, and 11th), and would claim the overall 40th Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals title.

The Florida Speedweeks 2011 wound down with a pair of events on February 18th-19th at Ocala Speedway (Ocala, Florida), and it was no big surprise that Larry Shaw Race Car customers claimed the wins as Mike Spatola scored the win on Friday night, while Kyle Bronson closed out the show with a win on February 19th.

While Larry Shaw Customers were conquering the sunshine state, in other parts of the country other team drivers were claiming wins as well. Ashley Newman earned the win at the annual Winterfest event at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Tennessee) on February 19th, while Wesley Veal earned two wins in the Texas Short Track Championship on February 18th-19th.

Larry Shaw Race Cars would like to congratulate its customers on their great accomplishments and would also like to wish everyone the best of luck for the 2011 season.
