Late Models set to invade Macon Speedway this Saturday
The ever-popular Late Models are set to go racing at Macon Speedway this Saturday, April 13th, as well as Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks,UMP Sportsman, and UMP 4-cylinder Hornets. After a cold winter, the late models are ready to warm up the high-banked, 1/5 mile dirt oval track. Don’t miss this night of engine roaring action!
Macon Speedway’s exciting summer schedule includes the start of the Big Ten Series, April 20th, Memorial Day Special, the Bully Dog Night of NASCAR Stars I on May 27, presented by Contingency Connection, followed by an Armed Forces Night on June 1. Finishing off June is the 95Q Firecracker 40’s-Latemodel & Modified race that will be topped off with Fireworks to help celebrate the Independence Day, and Night of Nascar Stars II, featuring Tony Stewart on June 13. The summer and the racing are only beginning to heat up at one of the fastest 1/5 mile tracks in the country in July when the Herald & Review 100 comes in combination with the UMP Super Nationals on Thursday, July 11. The POWRi series will be making stops by again this year at Macon Speedway on April 27, August 17, and finishing up the Macon Speedway racing season on September 28.
Fans won’t want to miss regular weekly racing Saturday nights through the end of September, so bring your family and your friends out to the track and experience the hottest ticket in town.
Gates open at 5 pm and racing starts at 7 pm. Macon Speedway is located 9 miles south of Decatur, IL on US 51 then 1/2 mile west on Andrews Street, then South on Wiles.
