Latrobe Speedway returns as FASTRAK sanctioned in 2020

Latrobe Speedway, in Latrobe, PA will return as a FASTRAK weekly sanctioned track for the 2020 season. Latrobe joined the FASTRAK Racing Series family in 2019 and saw an average car count of 12 in its first season. The racing was competitive seeing seven unique winners through the first seven races of 2019. Although the track battled Mother Nature through the spring, Latrobe held ten races for FASTRAK weekly drivers during 2019.

“We are excited to welcome Latrobe Speedway back in 2020,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “They had a good car count in 2019, and several different winners throughout. It has been great working with Dennis Bates and the entire staff at Latrobe, and I look forward to continuing to work with them.”

Troy Shields, with two wins in 2019, won the FASTRAK Division Six points championship, edging out Andrew Koenig. Tanner Hauger was third in Division Six points. Winners at the track in 2019 included Shields, Rich Logan, Russel Baird, Braeden Dillinger, Bryan Benton, Matt Glanden, and Bob Cossell.

Latrobe Speedway will host a test and tunes on April 11th and April 18th with a make-up session scheduled for April 25th. The track will open the 2020 season on May 2nd. More information can be found at www.latrobemotorsports.com.
