Lebanon,Mo.-Lebanon I-44 Speedway prepares for it's second weekend of racing and new dirt has been laid down around turns3-4 and work has been continuing all week long.

"Last week,it got pretty rough in those turns, and the weather has been alittle better to work with this week," stated track owner/promoter Randy Mooneyham."We have taken off some dirt, and added some back in those areas, and have reworked it.It looks like it is taking better shape."

"We want to thank all the fans and drivers who came out last week despite cold weather conditions. It made for an enjoyable evening and this week,we will continue to pay the Late Models $1000 to win.For the weekly show that's good money, with 15th and back paying 75 to start."

"Also,we are leaving the prices the same as they have been for the last several seasons at Lebanon-in the Grandstands $8 for Adults,$4 for kids 13-15,and 12 and under FREE.In the Budweiser Wildside Tier Parking area,it will be still $10 for adults,$5 for 13-15,and 12 and under $2.This area is ideal for the family to have a tailgate party,a place to put the kids down if they get tired(right there in your own vehicle),and bring in your own food and drinks!!!!

Classes this week will include the Late Models, Modifieds, Superstocks, Factorystocks, Bombers and Pro-4's."We are looking at maybe next week bringing in the E-Sprints to run. There is alot of local interest in that class, and it will be a good preview of our Memorial Weekend shows in May when the O'Reilly Auto Parts ASCS 360 C.I.Sprints race with us.

Gates will open at 5 with Hotlaps at 6:40,and the first race at 7:30 sharp."Last week,we had the crowd leaving at 10:20,giving them a good full night of racing with very little downtime.T his week we will be running on our point average,so the fans won't be seeing the fast cars starting up front, and it will be exciting for all. With the calls and new cars getting finished up in the area, the car count will continue to grow."
