Lebanon I-44 Speedway,Bolivar Speedways announce 2003 Schedules

Lebanon,Mo.-The highbanks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway,along with the action track at Bolivar Speedway have announced there 2003 schedules with many exciting events to take place this racing season.

Lebanon I-44 will start of the season with a special Sat.night practice session on March 29th starting around 7:30 PM.This season the dirt has been put back down on top of the Asphalt making the action even more fast-paced and exciting for this racing season.

Lebanon I-44,which started it's career as a dirttrack in 1983,was paved in 1989,will go back to it's roots with approx.12-14 inches of clay being put on the surface should place it as one of the most exciting and fast-tracks in the Midwest.

Lebanon will hold that first anticipated practice session on Sat night,under the lights March 29th with starting time around 7:30 PM.

The season will see the point battles begin on Sat.Night April the 5th with classes being run including the Super Late Models,Modifieds,SuperStocks,FactoryStocks,and Bombers on the weekly shows and special appearances from the area Pro-4 Cars.These cars look like a smaller version of a Dirt Late Model,but are powered by a 4 cylinder motor.

Special events will include 3 apperances from the Traveling O'Reilly Auto Parts MARS Racing Series on May 3rd,July 12th,and the Much Awaited Bill Willard Memorial on Sept.12-13 paying the winner $10,000 to win as the Top Traveling Late Model Drivers invading the Ozarks on those weekends.

The fast-growing and popular Enduro races will find 3 events being held with 2 Friday Night shows on May 9th,along with another Friday Night event on Aug.1.The track will close it's season with a special Sat.Night Enduro on Sept.20.
July 5th will find the always popular Weekly Show including Fireworks for the area after the racing has been concluded,with the Season Championship for the points battles to conclude on Sept.6.

Sat Night May 24th will find the Late Models recieving the weekend of and the O'Reilly Auto Parts ASCS 360 Sprint Cars coming in to make there only Lebanon Apperance of the season.This Series features winged-Sprints with a 360 Cubic Inch Motor and features nationally named drivers such as Terry Gray from Tenn.,and many more drivers from Okla,Ark,Mo,Texas,and surruonding areas.

1988 Late Model Champion Darrell Mooneyham of Verona,Lebanon Area Drivers Tony Jackson Jr.,Brandon McCormick,Danny Atkinson,Tim Brown of Stoutland and many more are expected to be weekly Drivers competing for the top spots,with many new faces and old friends making there way around the 3/8ths mile dirt oval.

Bolivar Speedway will go back to the Friday Night racing format with the early season action to start at 7:30,and then as the weather gets warmer,action to begin at 8PM with the practice day set for Friday Night April 4th and the Season opener slated for Friday Night April 11th under the direction of newly acquired owner Randy Mooneyham.

The track will feature Late Models, Modifieds, SuperStocks, FactoryStocks and Bombers on the regular shows and special appearances by the Pro-4 Drivers.

The first Special of the season will feature the O'Reilly Auto Parts MARS Racing Series on Friday Night May 2nd featuring drivers such as 2 time and defending champion Bill Frye of Greenbrier,Ark in his Ford,2000 champ-Springfield,Mo.-Terry Phillips,Jeff Taylor of Batesville,Ark.,and many of the top touring and local drivers.

On May 23rd-the weekly Late Models will ahve the Night off and give way to the O'Reilly Auto Parts ASCS 360 Sprint Car Series along with support classes,and then the return of the MARS Series on June 11th,and back to the actio-track on Aug.22nd for the Missouri DirtTrack Championship.

The track will also hold a Special Enduro Race on Sat Night June 14th.

More events and special features will be added as the season starts-up.Grandstand Gates are scheduled to open at 5PM with practice around 6:30.Tier Parking availiable at both tracks on a first come-first serve.
