LebanonMidway To Begin Championship Chase

Lebanon,Mo.-The chase for the 2010 season championship battle will begin Friday night as the first points race of the season kicks off.

Action will include the Factorystocks,B-Mods,StreetStocks,LateModelSportsman,PureStocks and the newly Formed MidWest Modz.This championship battle will be held every Friday Night until the final points race on Sept 24th.

2009 Champions were Mickey Burrell of Fair Grove(B-Mods), Bob Gustin of Osage Beach(FactoryStocks) Ben Newell of Stoutland(LateModelSportsman), Joe Francis of Lebanon(StreetStocks) and Les Hayes of Camdenton(PureStocks).Early season racetalk has all except Burrell planning on defending their championships.

Following last Weekends Spring Fling the list of drivers in all classes will be tough.
In the B-Mods-points runner-up Josh Woody of Buckhorn,Tyler Brown of Stoutland and JC Morton of Springfield all looked strong and expect to be in the hunt along with Lebanon's Micheal Stake,Halfway's Ted Ballinger,Marshfield's Sam Petty and Lebanon Rookie Kolt Barker moving up from the StreetStock division.

The FactoryStock class provides more winners than any other class and Gustin will have his hands full as 2008 Champion Tim Petty of Niangua,Marshfield rookie Tim Jones,Ben Solberg of Springfield and last seasons runner-up Donnie Miller of Houston all have already shown a strong performance.Tyson Troutman of Houston has the most going as he has won the last 2 features and shows improvement every week.

The StreetStock Class will also provide lots of action as several drivers have picked-up the pace.Rodney Yost of Squires and fellow Douglas County driver Jack Hamer of Ava will be consistant as Lebanon's Matt Pilant just needs a little luck.Other contenders include Josh Lewis of Stoutland and Dixon's Kevin Forshey along with Monk Barker of Lebanon.

Three Time LateModelSportsman Champion Ben Newell will find Father JC Newell runnnig him hard each week.JC will be looking for his first Midway title.Lebanon's Micheal Jones will play a factor as his late surge last season gives him some momentum.Other players will include Clinton Betts of Stoutland,Eldon's Bradley McDowell and Lebanon's Bennie and Bill Joiner.Tim Ballinger of Fair Grove has moved into this class and his always a threat to win.

The PureStock class continues to grow each season and Hayes will find lots of competitors including Lebanon's Shorty Doublin,Camdenton's Jason Brumley,Bradley Ballinger of Halfway and John McGinnis of Lebanon.Opening night winner Grant Sharp of Conway looked strong and could be a contender if he runs the full season with many in the shadows.

The MidWest Modz will see the car count grow as the season goes on with this new Econo-mod Class.14 year old JC Newell of Stoutland looked strong last weekend and already has some shaking their heads.

Gates open at 5PM Friday Night with hotlaps at 7 and Racing at 8PM.

General Adult Admission is $10 for Adults with kids 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free.
