Junction City, KY-June 14, 2008- The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Graphic Impressions made its first of three visits in 2008 to the Chuckie May promoted 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY and Victor Lee of Stanford, KY would do it again and win his fourth straight O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model event and picking up $3,000 in the process as the driver also known as the “Lincoln Leadfoot”, now having won four of the seven series events so far in 2008.

Lee would start eighth in the O’Reilly A-Main and the win by Lee would be his fifth career series victory and fourth in a row on the series and would again come behind the wheel of the Frank Revel Motorsports owned, Kentucky’s Best/Budda Bert Transmission Sales and Service/Junction City Quick Stop/Tim Logan Racing/Xtreme Style Signs and Graphics/Five Star Food Mart/ADO’s Auto Body sponsored #4 C.J. Rayburn Race Cars, Jay Dickens Race Engines powered machine. Lee’s winning entry receives product support from Bilstein Shocks, PPM Racing Products, Custom Cams, Dyer’s Top Rods, Real Racing Wheels, and American Racer Tires.

Tim Tungate of Campbellsville, KY would turn in his best performance of the season in series action with a second place run in the Darrell Morrison Mechnical/Guardian Mortgage sponsored C.J. Rayburn Race Cars mount, while David Webb of Nicholasville, KY would also turn in a series season best run with a third place effort in the ORS Auto Body/JDB Contracting sponsored C.J. Rayburn Race Cars machine. Shon Flanery of Mount Carmel, TN would earn the PPM Racing Products Hard Charger Award after starting 17th and finishing fourth in his FAST Trucking/Xtreme Suspension Technology sponsored GRT Race Cars unit, while Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY would score his best career series finish with a fifth place run in the Barnes Family Dentistry/Linville Finish Carpentry sponsored C.J. Rayburn entry.

The remainder of the top ten would be Chris Combs, Mike Jewell, Eric Wells, Tyrel Todd, and Greg Oliver. The event would be 40 laps in length and would be slowed by ten caution flags, taking 49 minutes and 52 seconds to complete.

The start of the O’Reilly A-Main would see David Webb jump to the race lead, with Jason Montgomery, Greg Oliver, Chris Combs, and Josh McGuire in pursuit. Oliver would take second on lap 2, with McGuire grabbing fourth from Combs on the same circuit. Combs would continue to pressure McGuire and would retake fourth on lap 5. The first caution flag flew on lap 7 for a three car pileup in turn two involving Audie Swartz, Jamie Ferguson, and Michael Paul Howard. The Delaware double-file restart would see Victor Lee go from sixth to fourth on the restart, with Montgomery rim-riding to second past Oliver, only to have Oliver retake the runner-up slot on lap 8. Ferguson and Howard would involved in the event’s second caution with an incident in turn four, with both drivers reporting pitside for the evening.

Webb would again be out front on the restart, with Montgomery and Oliver again battling for second, with Lee slipping past Montgomery for third on lap 12. Tim Tungate would start to go at this point and would make his way into the top five, going to fourth after a three-wide pass off of turn four on lap 13, with Aaron Hatton following suit to fifth one trip later. Caution flew again on lap 15 for a spin on the front main by Royce McGowan, tightening up the field once again. The restart would see Lee take second and be set to grab the lead, but a caution for a slowed Chris Wilson in turn three would negate the pass. This restart would see Lee grab the race lead from Webb exiting turn two, with Tyrel Todd flying into the top five on this start. Trouble would strike ninth place running Josh McGuire on lap 17, as his mount pulled up slow in turn two with a flat tire, with series winner at Richmond able to get new rubber and return to action.

This restart would see Tungate and Hatton go to third and fourth behind Lee and Webb, with Oliver now fifth. Tungate and Hatton would battle behind the front two, with Hatton taking third as the field saw the halfway lap 20 signal. Steve Stollings would draw the next caution on lap 22 when his disabled mount rolled to a stop on the backchute. The restart would see Tungate take second from Webb, with Combs back in the picture and pressuring Hatton for the four slot. A five car pile-up in turn four on lap 23 would involve Mike Jewell, Tyrel Todd, Royce McGowan, Anthony Adams, and Arnie Fields, with all able to continue. Back underway, Tungate would begin to mount a charge on Lee and caution flew again on lap 27 when Rod Evans would slow his machine on the backchute and be done for the evening. Hatton would take third from Webb on the restart, with Dustin Linville making his way into the top five past Combs. Only one full circuit would be completed before Anthony Adams would roll his heavily damaged mount to a stop on the frontchute on lap 28.

On the restart, business would pick up at the front, with Tungate dogging Lee for the Lee, with the pair going side-by-side for the top spot on lap 32, with Lee jumping the cushion in turn two on lap 33, handing the lead to Tungate, but that would be short lived as Lee would work past Tungate and reclaim the lead at the start-finish line on lap 34. With Webb having worked back around Hatton, it would be Hatton suffering mechanical issues on lap 38, setting up a short dash to the finish. Shon Flanery would take fourth on the restart and pressure Webb for third, but Lee and Tungate would pull away from the pack, with Lee taking the checkered flag first, followed by Tungate, Webb, 17th starting Flanery, and 18th starting Linville.

In preliminary action, Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY would be the Racing Optics Top Qualifier among 31 entries with a lap of 13.633 seconds. Heat race checkered flags went to David Webb in Wayne Bowen Racing Supply heat one, Greg Oliver in K&N Performance Engineering heat two, Chris Combs in Graphic Impressions heat three, and Jason Montgomery in Real Racing Wheels heat four. The B-mains would be scored by Shon Flanery and Dustin Linville. Larry Gray and Jamie Ferguson would take series provisional starts, while track provisional starting spots were garnered by Anthony Adams and Michael Paul Howard
