Jamaica, VA – Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, VA has been the bridesmaid on eight FASTRAK sanctioned events, that was until tonight when he took home the biggest win of his career on the biggest stage in Pro Late Model racing, the $20,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship. Roberson grab the lead from Jenson Ford of Piney Flatts, TN and looked to have the race under control. Roberson would lose the lead to Michael Brown of Bufford, SC in traffic on lap 52 but would power back to the lead on the next circuit. Roberson would keep Brown at bay to take home the 2018 FASTRAK World Championship.

“I don’t know what to say, me and my dad work our butts off in the shop at night to come here to do this, to get my first FASTRAK win against all these good guys, man I don’t know I am crying like a baby, I am just so excited, we are just a small funded team but we got it done tonight” commented a very emotional Logan Roberson in WhosYourDriver.org victory lane.

Rounding out the top five were Michael Brown, Tyler Bare, 2017 World Champion Ross Bailes and Matt Long.

Jensen Ford, Tyler Bare, Logan Roberson and Brett Hamm picked up heat race wins. Kyle Lukon and Corey Almond were the B Main winners and Chris Blackwell scored the win in the non-qualifiers race.

Jensen Ford and Logan Roberson led the 31 car field to green with Ford grabbing the lead out of turn 2. Roberson would get by Ford on lap 4 out of turn 4 to take the lead. Roberson stretched his lead out over Tyler Bare by 10 car lengths until lap the leaders began to work traffic. On lap 20 Bare got inside Roberson out of turn 2 and looked to have a run good enough to take the lead only to have caution come out for a car stopped in turn 4.

On the restart Roberson pulled away from the now battle for second between Bare and Michael Brown. On lap 23 Brown swept the outside of bare to take second and set out to catch Roberson. Two laps later the leaders began working traffic and Brown closed on Roberson’s bumper but the battle for the lead was thwarted by a caution on lap 31. On the restart Roberson once again pulled away until he began to run into lapped traffic again. Brown finally got back to Roberson bumper and on lap 51 got inside Roberson for the lead. Roberson would quickly regain the lead on the next corner with a strong move out of turn 2.

A final caution on lap 54 tightened the field back on Roberson bumper for the restart. Roberson was able to hold off Brown over the final six laps to score his first FASTRAK win and the biggest win of his career. Following Roberson to the checkers were Brown, Bare, Ross Bailes and Matt Long to round out the top five.
