Three-Race Weekend on Deck this Weekend

Waynesboro, Virginia (11/06/18) – For the second-straight year Logan Roberson parked his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model in Victory Lane at the Crate Nationals at Tennessee’s Volunteer Speedway.

The $3,000 victory pushed his 2018-win tally to 14.

“Wow, what a race,” Roberson exclaimed. “Cory [Hedgecock] and I threw everything that we had at each other, and it was a blast. Cory and I were joking after the feature that there’s not many people you can race like that with. I hope the fans enjoyed it as much as we did.

“We were second last weekend in the World Short Track Championships at Charlotte, and now we won this deal. We’re ending this season with a lot of momentum. Hopefully we can go grab some more wins before it’s over.”

Saturday night found Logan Roberson in action at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee), where he was competing against a stout field of 41 Crate Late Models for the annual Crate Nationals. Starting the night with a heat race victory, Logan earned the pole position for the 51-lap A-Main.

Logan led early in the feature before Cory Hedgecock took control with a slider on lap 24. Regaining the lead from Cory Hedgecock on lap 27 after throwing his own slider, Roberson led the remaining 24 circuits en route to his second straight Crate Nationals victory and 14th overall win of the season.

Topping Hedgecock, Jensen Ford, Chase King, and Mack McCarter at the line, Logan pocketed a $3,000 payday.

A $2,000 winner’s check is up for grabs in the Crate Late Model rans on Friday, while a $5,000 top prize is on the line on Saturday night.

On Sunday evening the team will stop at the legendary Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for a $3,000-to-win event, which will be sanctioned by the South Eastern Crate Association (SECA). The program is headlined by a $3,000-to-win, Crate Late Model finale.
