Waynesboro, Virginia (06/18/19) – The Crate Late Model division at Elkins Raceway has fallen under the grasp of Logan Roberson throughout the past month. Friday night was no exception as Roberson darted to his third-consecutive win at the West Virginia oval in his Wynbridge Inc. No. 17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model.

The triumph was his eighth of the 2019 campaign.

“This weekend definitely provided a range of emotions,” Roberson noted. “On Friday night at Elkins we were able to win in thrilling fashion. On Saturday at Virginia Motor Speedway, I think we had a good chance to get the win, but luck just wasn’t in our corner. It was really disappointing to have the flat and then get collected in a wreck. With all that said, it was really cool to be able to get a win for my dad on Father’s Day weekend. I’m truly blessed to get to go up and down the road with him every weekend.”

Friday saw Logan Roberson return to Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) for a Weekly Racing Series Event. He started his night by qualifying second. On the heels of his qualifying effort, Roberson enjoyed a great run in the feature. He streaked to his eighth win of the season in the feature, courtesy of a last-lap pass over Michael Bland. Trey Watson, Garrett Paugh, and Billy Beachler trailed the lead duo to the checkers.

On Saturday Roberson traveled to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned USA 100. In a field of 28 cars, Logan started the night with a heat race victory, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win A-Main.

Wheeling his way up to the second position early in the going, Roberson began challenging for the lead until he suffered a flat tire. After replacing his tire and joining the field from the tail, Logan was collected in a wreck, which brought an early end to his night.
