Double Duty on Winchester Speedway Up Next

Waynesboro, Virginia (05/28/19) – A busy Memorial Day weekend found Logan Roberson entering a trio of events in his Wynbridge Inc. No. 17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model.

The results for the talented young racer were strong to say the least. He earned a feature win and a podium finish to go along with the second-starting spot for a postponed feature.

“It was a crazy busy weekend for our team, but we were pleased with our results. It’s always good to get a victory, and that’s exactly what we did on Friday night at Elkins Raceway,” Roberson revealed. “We had a good car on Saturday night at Winchester Speedway as well. We were slated to start second on the grid for the feature, but the curfew got us so the feature got postponed to a later date.

“On Sunday night we were just a tick off at Potomac Speedway, but still came away with a podium finish. I’m excited to get back to Winchester this Saturday, where I’ll be in action in both the Limited and Cate Late Model class.”

Friday night found Logan Roberson in action at Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia), behind the wheel of his Russ King Racing No. 17 Crate Late Model entry. After laying down the fastest time in a field of 18 competitors, Roberson cruised to a heat race win, positioning him fourth on the starting grid for the main event. Sliding past Garrett Paugh for the lead on lap 15, Logan set a comfortable pace for the remaining distance en route to his sixth win of the season. Troy Frazier, Brent Trimble, Kyle Thomas, and Donnie Dotson trailed him to the checkers.

The following night at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), Logan secured his spot into the main event with a heat race win. Slated to roll off second, the track unfortunately reached its curfew before the feature could be contested. As a result, the feature was postponed to a future date.

On Sunday evening, competing in a field of 22 Rush Crate Late Models at Potomac Speedway (Budd’s Creek, Maryland), Roberson scored a podium finish in the feature, trailing only Ben Bowie and Darren Alvey at the checkered flag.
