Brad Loyet of Sunset Hills, MO won the 30 lap O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil midget event at Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on Saturday night. Tim Siner of Dupo, IL started on the pole and paced the field on the cushion with Loyet and Derek King of Vienna, IL on his heals. On laps 7 through 9 Loyet would make repeated slide jobs on Siner with Loyet finally able to make a pass work and lead laps 10 and 11. On lap 12 Siner would return the favor after the leaders came up on lapped traffic and Siner would once again pace the field. Again, Loyet would repeat slide job after slide job but Siner would shut the door on him each time. The caution came out on lap 19 for the spun car of Jay Mounce and bunch up the field. Siner would lead the field down for the green flag and take to the cushion in turn one but would be relegated to fourth after contact with Loyet in turn two. Loyet would lead the final 11 laps for the win followed by King, Zach Daum, Siner and Donnie Lehmann rounding out the top five.
