Batesville, Arkansas (8/28/07) – Fresh off a four race swing through the Midwest the Mid America Racing Series Super Late Models (M.A.R.S.) will continue their month of mayhem this weekend with three race nights in southwest Missouri.

The M.A.R.S. competitors squared off against the U.M.P. competitors in a four race swing over the extended weekend, and when the dust settled three of the events were run and there were three different winners. The weekend got underway with Terry Phillips picking up the win at Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois on Wednesday night. The four race swing would hit the skids on Thursday night when lighting issues at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri forced the cancellation of the event. On Saturday night, the busy weekend concluded at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri with Randy Korte claiming the $5,000 payday. At the end of the challenge series the M.A.R.S. competitors (Phillips and Frye) boasted two wins with the U.M.P. tour picking up one win (Korte).
