Thats Right!
Anyone have macomb results from sunday, please let me know... Thanks alot..

J.D. Beal won the modified feature with a Quincy b-mod finishing second, a blue 40 car that was extremely fast 3rd, Marty Heiser was 5th or 6th I think. They had 18 modifieds and announced since they didn't get 20 cars, so they were paying 600 to win. I had to leave at 6 o'clock to go to work as they were bringing the late model feature on the track, Denny Woodworth on the pole with Steve Shepperd on the outside of row one. I haven't found out yet who won, but from the way these two ran in their heats and dash, whoever won the drag race into one would probably be the one. They had 24 late models show up and would have had some more, but there was a 4000 to win show in Peoria that had gotten rained out the night before and there were some big hitters locked into that that were supposed to be at Macomb, Steve Lance and Gary webb to name a couple. The only car that looked like he had anything for Shepperd or Woodworth was Lonnie Bailey from Quincy, but he cut a tire in his heat and wound up third so he didn't make the Dash which was how they lined up the first three rows. As slick as the track was, it would have been hard to come through the field. Travis Copely won the street stock feature, I think Racn22 got third. Norm Horn won the Hornet feature, I don't think they ran 5 green flag laps in that one! All in all it was a really decent show, they had a lot of quality cars in every class. The track was a typical daytime dirt track, dryslick and shining black from top to bottom. They announce they are going to run again next Saturday with gates opening at 3, racing at 5:00.

Forgot to say a couple of Jacksonville's limited late models were there also, the 24 Roberts made the feature through his heat and Greg Kimmons failed to make the show.

That's who I figured would win barring any trouble. The 45 car won the dash by a good chunk, but I was kind wondering if Shepperd was trying some different lines.
