On saturday september 20th it's the Ill sate champioship race for the street stock division a 50 lap feature and $1,000.00 to win. Also a 20 lap feature for the HORNETS $ 300.00 to win. Street drivers will qualify. Hornets will have to earn there spot in there heats for the feature. Street Stock Rules
1. Bodies: Chevrolet engine with same body, Fords the same etc. You can make your own body out of stainless steel, No aluminum! Important bodies must have noise pieces and rear end must be completely closed. You can cut out floorboards, and trunk area. All cars must have an firewall Roofs must be stock height. No 90% breaks in body line. Your body must have original look.
2. Shocks in stock location unless have wight jacks. Only one racing shock per wheel.
3. No coil overs allowed any type. Leaf springs allowed.
4. Under sling allowed.
5. Quick steering allowed.
6. Front stock passenger car spindles only.
7. Safety belts, 3' min. Quick release racing belts only.
8. Rear ends stock or 9' Ford rear ends allowed No floaters allowed.
9. Transmission: standard transmission with stock clutch and pressure plate. Automatic's stock with torque converter. No direct drive or No triple disk clutch allowed.
10. Engines: Ford to Ford Chevy to chevy, etc. No aluminum heads, No roller cams.
11. Racing fuel is allowed, No Alchol
12. Carburetors: 1-four barrell double pumps allowed. No electric fuel pumps allowed.
13. In take, Double plane intakes only. Aluminum OK.
14. Heads: stock appearing. No after markets. Steel only.
15. Roller tips allowed.
16. No ignition boxes of any kind.
17. Engines location # 1 plug even with ball joint on driver side.
18. Weight: 3000 pounds.
19. Must have fuel cel mounted in steel box with straps over top.
20. Drive shaft must be painted white with safety hoop.
21. All weights must be secured. No Tape!!!!!!!!!!!
22. Tires: 9" Hossiers etc. tires only No Dot tires allowed (1) Bead lock allowed.
23. Frames stock widith and length. Control arms upper and lower must be in stock location
