Inside Line Promotions - GREENBRIER, Ark. (Jan. 22, 2019) - Jordon Mallett is excited to announce his newest adventure will lead him onto the road as a full-time competitor on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Mallett has won the last two national championships with the USCS Series and he swept the national title as well as the three USCS regional championships last year, setting the stage to continue his progression as a professional sprint car driver with the ASCS National Tour in 2019.

"First, I want to thank Pete and Sherri Walton and the USCS Series for all they've done and for helping me progress my ability," he said. "I got to run so many races. We had a really successful year in 2018 and swept their series and won more races than I've ever won. If I want to pursue this full time I need to keep moving so we're chasing the ASCS National Tour.

"I truly believe the biggest hurdle will be the financial side of it. The schedule mileage-wise and the race count is about the same as we've run, but there's more layover time. We'll be gone the first week of June through August. There's a lot to juggle. I've had to try to acquire a third engine. We're actively seeking more partners who want to team up with a successful team as it branches out to new tracks across the country."

This year will mark Mallett's eighth straight year in a 360ci winged sprint car and will be his first time traveling to Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Pennsylvania and a host of other states.

"Now I've got 30 new tracks I've never seen that everybody else has a notebook for and I don't," he said. "I'm trying to pick other people's brains and figure out what I need to know. I feel like the last two years I've really been able to have a lot of variation from the tiniest quarter miles to great, big half miles. Different regions have different track conditions. I hope we go to a bunch of racy places.

"My goal is to win the Rookie of the Year Award and I want to finish in the top 10 in the points. I think we can accomplish both goals."

Mallett will kick off his season this weekend when he will drive the Country Barn Babe sponsored No. 29 sprint car owned by Jeff and Nicole Oliver at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Fla. The USCS Series races on Friday and Saturday will mark Mallett's first time competing at the track.

The ASCS National Tour season gets underway in March.
