After nearly 2 years of discussion, the MARA Board of Directors is excited to announce that MARA will be adding mini-sprint racing to some of its programs this year. Mini-sprint participants who join MARA will be granted all the benefits of MARA members, including participation in our year end awards banquet, contingency sponsors, point fund, and the recognition of participating with a nationally known sanctioning body. In order to be eligible for point standings and contingencies, cars must register as a MARA member. There will be a basic fee per car to join which helps to cover yearly administrative costs and membership forms will be out soon.
MARA is a well established midget racing series, who is now looking to help promote mini-sprint racing in the Midwest. A mini-sprint schedule for the 2005 season is currently being negotiated and will be released in the very near future. MARA looks to continue its long history of sanctioning open wheel racing throughout this upcoming season and is looking forward to opening our doors to the mini-sprint racers and fans.
