FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – July 27, 2012 - One week from tonight, two familiar late model organizations take to the track to kick off two straight nights of dirt track racing as the Missouri based MARS DIRTcar series and the Kansas based National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products in their only duel on the 2012 race season.
It all kicks off on Friday night, August 6 with the “Rumble in the Bull Ring” at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska, which is located just North of Lincoln. It will be the MARS DIRTcar series first ever appearance at the quarter mile oval and the sixth for NCRA. That latest was held back in 2009 when Kyle Berck out dueled Terry Phillips to pick up the forty lap feature victory. Both series will be going “topless” for this event, leaving their roofs in the trailer.
Also competing that night will be the non-wing warriors of the USAC sprint car division.
Grandstand adult tickets for ages thirteen and over are $20 while youth grandstand admission for ages six through twelve are just $5. Pit passes are $30 and will see pit gates open at 4pm. Grandstand gates open at 5:30 pm with hot laps at 6:30 pm. Races are scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time.
From Omaha, Eagle Raceway is located off of I-80 West then eleven miles South on Hwy 63. From Lincoln the track is located twelve miles East on Hwy 34. For more track information contact the speedway office (402) 238-2595.
Then on Saturday night it is off to 81 Speedway in Park City for the NCRA/MARS “Late Model Clash,” in an annual get together for the gladiators of the late model divisions. Last year it was Jesse Stovall picking up the thrilling victory in what many call one of the best late model shows at the speedway. Both series will put back on the roofs for this show.
Grandstand tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Gates will open at 5:00 pm with racing slated for a 7:00 pm start time.
81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. in Park City. For more race and ticket information contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781.
