would like to tell everyone how great of a job mel does at running the race track at montgomery city.
he really appreciates the racers,as well as the fans. and he puts his money where his mouth is..we had a great nite of racing,great food and music too!!as well as an actual pay out to the track champions,and class top 10..as well as the biggest trophies ever made!!$
the place is first class all the way..
thanks mel. we really appreciate everything you do for the racers,and we will be back for many years to come!!(hopefully)
 
ABSOLUTELY! A big pat on the back goes to Mel for all the work he has put and continues to put into the track at Montgomery County. Everytime we made the trip to MCS we are never disappointed and that's because Mel is always looking after the needs of his racers and his fans. I can't tell you how excited we are to be a part of the racing program up at MCS for 2004, even if it is on a limited basis to start. Thanks again Mel for all you do with the track and here's looking forward to an outstanding 2004 season!!!

Everyone has an opinion.

Mine is he screwed us at the Micro show. We were the only car to show up and he wouldn't let us race for first place to get paid and also refused to refund our pitpass money so we could leave.

I'm not getting the nice guy takes care of racers thing here.
 
That is what happened our car was right next to his and we watched him confont Mel and just flat out said no. I really thought agreed to not letting him race but not refunding there pit pass was insane.
 
I agree, that was inconsiderate on Mel's part, but everyone is human, and everyone makes mistakes. Please don't judge him on that one night. Mel is a great guy, he would do just about anything to make people happy, that is why I am surprised that he didn't refund the money. He is a great promoter, and he does a great job at MCS. Mel, here is to a great year in 2003, and to an even better one in 2004!
 
You guys (and girls) don't know mel like all these other racers do that raced with him before he made this track.

Yes I do remember Mel back when he raced. I disagreed with some of the things he did but oh well that is the past. He is one hell of a track owner/promotor and I look foward to running his track next year!!! Great job Mel!!!

personally i understand you bein upset and have offered your pitpass $$$ for you and your friend....im sorry your class did you dirty but if you cant understand mell being quiet upset t that very moment then i just dont know what to say....

other than this is the third and last time ill offer your cash back to ya....
after this im gonna start writing it off to whining...

weather its my cash, mels cash, whosever....
i feel your pocket should be right even a little....
hell look at the travel expenses alone....

Sorry, I'm with opnwhlmnd here. Why isnt the promoter himself making the offer? I dont get the whole, promoter takes care of his racers thing either. Doesnt look to me like he is interested at all in taking care of anybody but Mel Kinnaird. Maybe he does all right by you, but then he pays you to work for him right? So of course your gonna be his web slave. As for the rest of us, well, we're still waiting on Mel to do the right thing. And so far, he hasnt.
 
Yes, Montgomery County is a fine little racetrack, but don't elevate Kinniard to idol status (for what it's worth, Schrader/Marler is capable of making mistakes too, and I'm getting quite bored with the I-55 worship that goes on here). He's capable of bad judgement just like anyone else, just look at some of the help he's hired. The officiating crew is nopthing more than the "Mike Hammerle Fan Club". Maybe the honeymoon's over and this is a taste of what we'll be seeing in the future. Mel Wente? It could happen.

i own my own wireless isp company
i own another called higher 4 hire

with the the checks that i get from doing the races general sits in my wallet till i get tired of sitting on them or happen to see them when im at the bank....
not to mention that my father passed with asbestos cancer and the family sued 24 companys....
what im trying to say is that i honestly dont think mells paycheck
doesnt buy my loyalty.....
he has my loyalty because of the way he takes care of the track
fans and racers.....

since i own a couple business its easy for me to understand
he was angry most likely when the micro thing happened
which i would be to.....

sure everyone makes mistakes like it says up earlyer in this post
however ive only see two....perhaps three things pertaining to the races that i didnt care for....
and voiced as such....
as far as being his web slut....hes asked me several times not to get on here out of fear of me saying something wrong / out of line/ or off color and he doesnt want me to create any negativity on the track....every time he sees a post or thread from me....im too sure he breaks out in a cold sweat.....

all i can go by is when the cash and the trophys were handed out i heard comments from the drivers.....
wow god what a b trophy....man thats alot of cash.....
i even heard one....id been happy with just the trophy...i wasnt expecting any cash....
i think the total was somewhere in the $15000 area....not to mention the food and stuff

but please understand this
mell might ask me to put something on here from time to time
and when he does i make it perfectly clear that it is he speaking and not i.....

also...no one person owns me....never have never will...
the only person who has a title on me is the mrs.....
an i think she wants to sell.....lol

in closing
i am PROUD to be a part of the MCS team...
and PROUD to call mell my friend and PART TIME boss...evil grin
