Macon Speedway Memorial Day Big Ten/ALMS $2k to Win Late Models, $600 to win UMP Mods with Schrader and Wallace

Macon, IL) Macon will be hosting a very special show this Memorial Day with the Midwest Big Ten UMP Late Model Series, along with the ALMS series On Monday, May 27. The program will also feature Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace, NASCAR Stars and co-owners of Macon Speedway, challenging the Macon Speedway stars in the Billingsley Towing UMP Modified division while racing for $600 to win.
This will be the second showing for the Big Ten Series at Macon. Steve Sheppard Jr. of New Berlin is leading the series with Matt Taylor in second and Steve Lance, Jr. rounding out the top three. With a rainout last Friday, May 17 at Jacksonville, the last time the Big Ten Series ran was at Macon on May 11. This Monday, the American Late Model Series will be joining in, making the race even more tight and competitive for the $2000 to win event.
Also racing that night will be UMP Late Models, Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets & Stock Hornets. Gene Reed is leading the UMP Street Stocks; Jeremy Reed is leading the UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets and Kyle Maxwell is in front in the Stock Hornets.
Gates will open at an hour earlier at 4 pm with racing beginning at 6 pm.
Macon Speedway’s exciting summer of racing kicks off with this Memorial Day with the first of two NASCAR Stars Nights. Then the action begins to heat up on the track on June 13 when 3-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart will be the Grand Marshall for the second Night of NASCAR Stars. June 15 will be the Mueller Distributing Miller Lite Twin 50’s and June will round out with the 95Q Firecracker 40’s and FIREWORKS!
