Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Heads To I-44 Speedway For Season Finale

Batesville, Arkansas (September 17, 2007) – The Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) will conclude the 2007 season in fine style this Friday and Saturday night with Midwest Madness at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri.

Eighteen events have been completed on the tour in 2007 with eleven different drivers finding their way into victory lane. With a pair of events remaining, defending and four time tour champion, Bill Frye, from Greenbriar, Arkansas sits atop the point standings. Three time series’ champion, Terry Phillips from Springfield, Missouri, sits in the second position in points. Will Vaught (Missouri), Jeremy Payne (Missouri), and Jack Sullivan (Arkansas) round out the top five in series’ points heading into the weekend. Other tour drivers expected for this weekend include Gary Stolba (Missouri), Peyton Taylor (Arkansas), Al Purkey (Kansas), and many more.

The tour will be going head to head with the Midwest Late Model Racing Association as the series clash for the final time in 2007 on Friday and Saturday, September 21st – 22nd.

On Friday and Saturday night, gates will open at I-44 Speedway at 4:30 pm with hot laps at 7:00 pm; and racing action at 7:30PM. I-44 Speedway is located on Interstate 44 at exit 135.
