On a cool Saturday night with final point races still undecided, we take off with the Open Wheel racing action. (15) Clayton Miller three points ahead of (99) David Flowers going into the Heat races. Starting with Miller in the Dash finishing in second place and Flowers winning the first Heat race, this brought these two racers to a bare minimum by having only a two-point spread between them and the Championship. When the green flag dropped, Miller started the Feature in second place and Flowers in the seventh position. Eventually, Flowers chased down Miller to fall only one position short of the Season Championship. The winner of the feature was (55) Michael Lee making Miller the Open Wheel Champion for 2004. Finishing second place was David Flowers.

When the Late Models rolled onto the track, points were not a deciding factor of the night. (1) Tony Albright who had won the 2004 Season Championship over Richard Frost, was racing in MO with The Challenge of the Champions season finale leaving twenty late models to carry on without him. In the Dash (75) Carnell Parker took the win and would start outside front row of the feature. Strutting his stuff in Heat one was (8) Ronnie Frost. Heat two was a new comer (32) Vince Grondzki. Taking the checked flag for the Feature win was (33) Randle Sweeney and Parker coming in a close second.

That being said and done, we moved onto the Street Stock race which was a heated battle between (87) Dale Phillips and (H55) Ronnie Hedgepath. Both led every lap and won their Heat races. Rolling out onto the track for the Feature race, Hedgepath had to win and Phillips had to finish fourth for Hedgepath to win the 2004 championship. This didn’t happen. Phillips won the feature with Hedgepath on his bumper, giving the fans a great show for their money. Dale Phillips won the battle and the war making him once again our 2004 Season champion. The $500.00 bonus plan won’t hurt his feelings either since this was his second year in a row to show all who really in top dog!

The Pro Street action started out with the Dash winner (64) Matt Potter and Heat one winner Don Young. Matt Potter wins the feature and Young taking a quick second. Larry Hamm becomes the 2004 Season Championship winner, two years in a row.

Mini Mod. racing was a smooth night. Heat one winner was (54) Don Donegan. (55) Mike Johnson wins Heat two. Taking the victory flag for the Feature race was again Donegan. Points winner for 2004 Season Championship was (23) Charles Newberry winning by notable fashion.

Pure Mini class ends their points season with the young man (12) Christopher Perrigo taking top honors as 2004 Season Champion. Stan Ferry taking a close second. The nights feature winner would go to (77) Tim Hunter leading every lap in the feature.
