Modified Shootout Slated For High Noon At Owatonna

OWATONNA, Minn. (May 24, 2005) -- The big guns will be coming out Monday, May 30, for the Memorial Day Modified Shootout at the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, Minn.

O'Reilly USMTS superstars Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Mike Sorensen, Mark Noble, Tommy Myer, Corey Dripps, Brad McEwan and many more are expected to be on hand for some fun in the sun on Memorial Day ... and a shot at the $2,000 winner's share of the fat Modified purse.

Modifieds will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start the Olympic Fire Protection-sponsored main event. There will be a $50 entry fee for all Modified competitors, and tow money of $75 will be awarded for all cars failing to qualify for the main event.

Also running will be B-Mods, with $500 earmarked for the feature winner. No entry fee is required for the B-Mods.

All WISSOTA Modifieds will run Hoosier tires with the Iowa B-Mods running American Racers.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. with hot laps slated for 12 noon and racing to follow. Adult admission price is $14, with kids ages 6-12 $5. Pit passes are $25.
