The gates at the Monett Speedway are set to open Sunday April 5th. "The 2009 racing season will be the tracks 39th year running," says promoter Randy Mooneyham. " We are very proud of that. I think we are one of the longest running tracks in the Midwest, that says something for the old track."
Weekly racing will include the super fast UMP Late Models, USRA Modifieds, Bombers, Rookies, and new to the program this year will be the Sport Modifieds. Gates are set to open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00.
