Montgomery Brothers Battle For Sprint Feature Win

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Sept. 11, 2004) Tim Montgomery of Fredericktown held off his brother Joey Montgomery to pick up the checkered flag in the 25-lap sprint car feature Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Joey settled for second place with Daniel Adler taking third, Jimmy Hurley fourth and Jerrod Hull fifth. They were followed by Kevin Swindell, Keith Burch, Derek O'Dell, Jay Landolt and Kent Buckley.

O'Dell won the first heat with Hull second and Swindell third. Hurley won the second heat with Adler second and Buckley third. Joey Montgomery won the third heat with Tim Montgomery second and Burch third. Joey Montgomery won the trophy dash with O'Dell second and Hull third. Steve Short won the "B" main with Landolt second and A.J. Bruns third.

In the Sportsmen class, Matt Eaton was the feature winner with Brad Mashek second, Doug Savage third, Kasey Nations fourth and Mark Howell fifth. They were followed by Donnie Mosier, Keith Craig, Leonard Betsch, Billy Mayberry and Jeff Whitter. Eaton won the first heat with Chuck Adams second and Nations third. Mashek won the second heat with Kenny Harris second and Mayberry third.

In the Modified class, Billy Smith of Park Hills continued his winning ways by capturing another feature win at SFCR. Brent Thompson settled for second place with Joe Giesler third, Mike Francis fourth and Jeremy Greenwalt fifth. They were followed by John Bohn, Tommy Worley Sr., Brad Long, Chris Boyd and Lou Driemier. Smith won the first heat with Worley second and Giesler third. Greenwalt won the second heat with Long second and Mitch Parmeley third. Thompson won the third heat with Bohn second and Kennedy third.
600cc Multi points leader Casey Barnhouse picked up a feature win Saturday night at SFCR with Dustin Barks second, Zack Barr was third, Tyler Robbins was fourth and Jimmy Bridgeman fifth. They were followed by Jeremy Boyer, Tom Dickerman, Rodney Williams, Austin Brown and Andy Moss. Brown won the first heat with Bridgeman second and Steele third. Barnhouse won the second heat with Nick Knepper second and Joey Boyd third. Williams won the third heat with Brown second and Barks third.
