FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 28, 2005) Joey Montgomery and his older brother Timmy Montgomery hooked up in a family feud Saturday night during the Sprint Car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway and on this night it was the younger man standing in Victory Lane following the race.
Joey started on the inside pole position for the 25-lap event with Timmy directly behind him on the second row. Joey Montgomery's victory was his third of the season. Tim finished in second place with Jay Landolt third, Jimmy Hurley fourth and Tommy Worley Jr. fifth. They were followed by Jerrod Hull, A.J. Bruns, Bob Thoman, Robbie Standridge and Bryan Matthews.
In the Modified class, Kenny Kennedy of Farmington captured the checkered flag in the feature with Mike Francis second, John Bohn third, Kasey Burch fourth and Jeremy Greenwalt fifth. They were followed by Danny Resinger, Alan Conner, Lou Driemeier, Billy Mayberry and Pete Koenig.
Kasey Nations of Park Hills made it five of six feature wins in six weeks by once again returning his #26 Sportsman to Victory Lane. Matt Eaton was second with Kent Nations third, Randy Forster fourth and Leonard Betsch fifth. They were followed by Doug Savage, Kevin Mosier, Donnie Mosier, Eric Melliere and Jeremy Greenwalt.
In the Pure Street class, Jeff Beeson made his debut at SFCR a good one as he won the feature with Mark Todd second, Chris Webb third, Theran Pearl fourth and Chris Boyd fifth. They were followed by Josh DeSpain, Lenny Terrell, Mike Abney, Wayne Frymire and Derek Shipman.
In the 600cc Multi class, Tom Dickerman was the feature winner with Dustin Barks second, Andy Moss third, Joey Boyd fourth and Jeremy Boyer fifth. They were followed by Brian Keen, Jake Bess, Ray Statler, Kodi Giessing and Jimmy Bridgeman.
