It came to my attention, we were the hot topic from the races over labor day weekend. I wish you would have at least told me I had made such an effect on so many people so I could at least explain my actions. Never know maybe you don't know me, maybe I did a good thing. Well since it has been brought to my attention I will address your comments, then you can decide. With both sides not just one.

Three weeks ago a racer did something very unsportsman like and potentially dangerous. I have been going to the races for 15 years, I have seen many drivers do the same acts, but the crowd was allowed to show them that it wasn't acceptable and amazingly when the majority says it's wrong the racer changes his attitude. Well most of the time, some have to learn lessons the hard way. Without mentioning names I have seen one driver who now drives at Mongomery, when he first started out he had an attitude, the crowd let him know we didn't like it, but he didn't listen, then one night, his careless actions caused him to flip his car several times rolling down the track, instead of pushing someone out of the way it came back to haunt him. Since that night he has been a very clean cut driver. So we take what happened 3 weeks ago, what if the car doing the hitting caused the other car or himself to lose control and get hurt? I have been told by several drivers he still feels he had every right to hit Hamerle, well I have seen a person die at the races and I never want to see that again. I know these guys have an enormous amount of money tied up in these machines and can't afford to have them wrecked out of childish anger. So if my loud disapproval offends people I am sorry but I go to the races to see men win by their ability to drive not hit others, that should be saved for the demo's.

Now onto the next subject at hand, years ago I saw a driver whom I had never seen before, he was a beautiful driver, after he won the race the announcer informed us he was only 15. Now years later I recently found out from a friend this man now is that same kid, so that is where the kid rock came from. We talked with him one night and he said thank you I can use all the fans I can get. Amazingly since his fan club has been cheering for him he's been winning more races. For those of you who want to voice an oppinion on a man you have never met, he's not a hot head he's a man with a natural talent who loves to race. When your in the front and starting a race I am pretty sure your suppose to put your foot on the pedal on the right and go fast, he didn't jump the start, he did what all racers do. But as disappointed as we were that he got put back one we respect Mel as we always have for enforcing the rules.

I fell in love with Mike Hamerle's driving years ago, his ability to get in and out and around, I have been a fan of his for 15 years and I fail to see that changing, he has always been a clean driver with alot of talent.

My third driver I knew when he was just a young kid, back when his dad raced He has an ability his dad didn't seem to have (sorry Scott) and I am so proud of what he has done in the short time he has been racing.

As for my personal character, I am a single mother of two, I run a constructions site, and work 60 to 80 hours a week. I have never been to the east side so I can not say if my wearing a tank top with a shirt over it and changing into over sized tee shirts is doing what they do on the east side, if it is I have been lied too for many years. You don't know me and you don't know my sister, if you took as much time talking to my face as you talked behind my back you might have saved yourself alot of anger and found out we are there to watch races, cheer on the favorites who happen to be underdogs and help to assure hot headed racers save their anger for after they get out of the car not on the track, cars can hurt and people can get killed.

I would like to thank Mel for this track, I wish he was still behind the wheel amazing the crowd but we are counting on him teaching his son Brian to dazel us with dads talents. He's still using both hands Mel!

Wow!!! It seems that is very easy to put people down, that is until they make a reply. Now all of a sudden everyone is speechless!!!!

Anyone can cheer very loudly for the top drivers, however, if you cheer for the underdogs, is it now obnoxious?????

#14-keep up the good work, you've come a long way!!!!

#29-as young as you are and as much trouble you have with your car, you still do very well. I hope that you can continue to race for years to come. You may very well be one of the top dogs in the future!!

#16 (Hammerle-Hammerly) MCS may not be your best track, however, you still look good to me.

Finally, young Brian Kinnard, I must admit, because you are Mel's son, you automatically get my vote. It is my wish that you go far in racing and that your father ends up with the most successful track around.

i think yall upset everyone with the negative signs....

kobusch go home and stuff like that...

as yall know we pride ourselfs as being sportman like fans....

honestly i myself dont approve of over board negatives

i realize you might not like a driver or something a driver does....

but the signs are a bit much....UNLESS they are rooting on your favorite.....the negative signs are what got ya all the negative thoughts

i really think you missed the whole point from reading your response....its n that you rooting for the kid or th you like hammerle....and i dont think they are interested in your personal character....im sure they have already formed an opinion on that...

just a thought

and ya know....now that your on the topic...brian is NOT mels son

with all of the close watching that you all were doing, did anyone happen to notice that the negative signs were never actually raised????? Or the fact that this happened only once?

Two times, we brought signs, one of these times (the time that the kids were holding up the signs), the photographer was asking the kids to hold them up to take pictures (more than once)

One time, I was there by myself exchanging t-shirts and one time it was both my sister and me. Believe it or not, I realise that I am way over weight and was not trying to look as though I am from the "east side".

We do not come to irritate the fans or make enemies, we come because we enjoy the races and the signs and the t-shirts were to support a few drivers.

Brian and Mel I am sorry, I thought that I heard that Brian was your son. Brian you still have my vote anyway.

It was the signs! and the fact that you let kids hold them up. They should have never been made and Ben should have never taken a picture of them. It was very rude on your part to make them in the first place.

yah

Its not the point that u cheer for Brock and them cuz they have came along way but you had to open ur mouth about hanks not having it for brock that one night and it made me mad...then you were having ur little kids hold up signs...thats crazyness...But hey not only is it my opinion it was alot of others~

THANKS FOR THE VOTE I NEED ALL THEM I CAN GET...BEING MY FIRST YEAR I AM TRYING TO LEARN EVERYTHING I CAN....ITS ALOT TOUGHER THAN EVERYONE THINKS OUT THERE....I INVITE EVERYONE TO COME DOWN AND LOOK AT THE CAR AFTER THE RACES AND GET A PICTURE... HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT WEEK

Brian, off the subject of good fan, bad fan, I just hope that with all of the hits on this post, you come back and read this.

For being your first year, I think that you have done a great job. No I do not claim to be an expert, but from where I sit, you have done very well. When I can actually see through all the dirt clumps and the dust (however, the dirt flying is what makes dirt tracks so fun), I see someone who does very well controling their car and from what I do know, that seems like the first big step in the fight to be one of the best. It is my opinion (however good or bad that may seem) you are an exellent driver and will go a long way.

Take care and drive safe!!!!!!

Thanks for the little bit of possative, I for one need someone to see past what I truely thought was a good thing (accept for the negative signs, again even though we did make them, we did not actually hold them up. Because yes good sportsmanship is VERY important.)

OK here we go again, but I do appreciate people at least telling me what is aggrivating them so much. I am here to once again set the record straight.

What Lance did wasn't right, it's not that I don't like Lance, I didn't like what he did now 4 weeks ago. I hope that he learned from the mistake and contiues to be a good driver, period no more no less.

I did make signs and yes it was out of anger which wasn't right, but those signs were never raised, not once. They were written on the back of signs we made for other drivers which the photographer thought was cool and took pictures of them, but again not once were those signs raised, again period.

Next, I have never slammed Randy Hanks, I think Randy is a great driver, I have no idea where or when this came from but whoever brought it up is flat out wrong.

It appears to me there has been a big communication problem and misunderstanding. I will cheer when people who don't think the rules apply to them are forced to abide by the rules and when someone who leaves if he doesn't get his own way shows up at a track only because there is a big pot race at stake blows his engine. And cheer for the ones who may not have the cars to be the best but have the driving ability to keep up. And I have a respect for all those drivers who have the guts to get behind a wheel and drive as fast as they do for the thrill and appreciation they get from their fans. It's a special breed of person who has not only the ability but the guts to do what these guys do everyweek.

The end.
