The Annual Awards banquet for the St Francois County Raceway was held on Saturday Night at the Elks Club in Potosi. A nice crowd was on hand to honor the Champions of 2009.
Leading off in the Sprint Division. Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown, MO, returned to the top of the heap. Montgomery took advantage of the field by running in the top 5 14 times and 15 times in the top ten. He scored his only feature win of the season on May 9th. He also finished 2nd 7 times this season.
Drivers Joey Montgomery, Jimmy Hurley, Tommy Worley, Casey Barnhouse, Jerrod Hull, and Robbie Standridge all won feature events this season.

Ryan Kempin of Catawissa, MO claimed Rookie of the Year Honors.
Modified Division was tough as always. However, David Shepard held on to win his first championship at St Francois County Raceway. Shepard had a strong start to his season that at one point winning five feature events in a row. Ending up the season with 6 feature wins, 13 Top 5, and 16 Top 10 finishes to secure the championship over runner-up Brent Thompson.
Thompson was making a bid to become a back-to-back-to-back-to-back four time champion just missed. Thompson ended with 6 feature wins, 14 top fives and 16 topo tens.
Drivers David Shepard, Brent Thompson, Jeremy Greenwalt, Matt Eaton, Billy Smith, Rusty Griffaw and Kenny Rumble all won features this season.
B Type Modifieds also ran four times and produced four different winners. They are Brian Richards, Kyle Stolzer, Randy Forster, and Brad McKennon. The B Modifieds will become a regular class for 2010 replacing the 600 cc Multi’s.

Brian Blair, Shane Blair, Chris Boyd, Mike Savage, and Charlie Savage were the only feature winners in 2009.

Having a stellar season, Dave Chilton, had it all to himself. Following up on his 2008 Championship run at Doe Run Raceway. Chilton added the 2009 Multi Championship at St Francois County Raceway to his resume. Only winning on feature along the way, he also amassed 12 top five finishes and 15 top ten runs on the season.
Along with Chilton, Kyle Amerson, Jason Daugherty, Austin Brown, Derek King, Andy Malpocker, Chris Myers, Ryan Kemp[in, Cody Cleeves, Brandon Nixon and JoeB Miller all had at least on win.
