Montgomery takes third feature win of season at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (June 21, 2003) Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown picked up his third feature win of the season at the St. Francois County Raceway Saturday night after holding off Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck in the 25-lap sprint car feature to pick up the checkered flag. Worley settled for second place with Terry Babb third, Kaley Gharst fourth and Timmy Moss fifth. They were followed by Rod Crabdree, Steve Short, Ted Adams and Marshall Skaggs.

Crabdree won the first heat with Montgomery second and Gharst third. Worley won the second heat with Bryan Matthews second and Bob Thoman third. Jason Keith won the third heat with Short second and Babb third. Montgomery won the dash with Crabdree second and Worley third.

In the Modified class, Timmy Hill captured the checkered flag in the feature with Jeff LeBaube earning second place, Adam Parmley third, #28 was fourth and Kenny Kennedy was fifth. They were followed by Mike Crader, Dan Zander, Joe Kopp, Chris Sloan and Jimmy Brayton Jr.

Parmley won the first heat with Pete Koenig second and Crader third. Hill won the second heat with LeBaube second and Kennedy third.

In the Hobby Stock class, Jeremy Greenwalt of Caledonia returned to victory lane as he held off Chuck Adams for the win. Randy Forster captured third place with Chris Boyd fourth and Matt Eaton fifth. They were followed by Kasey Nations, Doug Savage, Danny Mosier, Jim Abshier and Jason Keller.

Greenwalt won the first heat with Eaton second and Keller third. Adams won the second heat with Forster second and Boyd third.
Casey Barnhouse of Farmington won his first 600cc Multi feature of the season at SFCR after holding off the charge of Dustin Barks for the win. Kent Buckley was third with Conner Thompson fourth and Austin Brown fifth. They were followed by Matt Dotson, Joey Boyd, Jeremy Boyer, Tommy Boyd and Junior Ferguson.
Thompson won the first heat with Boyer second and Joey Boyd third. Barnhouse won the second heat with Tommy Boyd second and Dotson third.

Racing action at the St. Francois County Raceway will continue this Saturday night. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7. For more information phone (573) 756-1734.
