Center Line, Mich. - Tracy Hines will take a weekend off from his duties as a rookie in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to compete for Wilke-PAK Motorsports in the 53rd annual Night Before the 500 USAC National Midget Series event at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The May 29 event marks Hines' first appearance for the Mopar-sponsored team in nearly two months. Both Hines and the Wilke-PAK Motorsports team are seeking their first win in the historical event.

Below are some of Hines' thoughts on his upcoming race as part of Team Mopar and Wilke-PAK Motorsports.

Are you excited to be back with Wilke-PAK Motorsports and Mopar for this event?

"We're definitely looking forward to running the Mopar midget for Wilke-PAK this weekend. Just knowing the setups, knowing what to do to the midget to get it set up is a comfortable feeling. We're kind of struggling a little bit with the truck, where we run a short track and finish in the top-five and go to a big track and struggle a little bit, so just lack of knowledge is hurting us there. We come back to open-wheel and I pretty much know what to do, or we as a team have a good idea of how to get where we need to be. All of the races this weekend are really close to home, so it's good that we get to be at home and race at night. I think all of these factors will work to our benefit in the event."

What would a win in the 53rd annual Night Before the 500 mean to you as a driver, especially now that you've branched out into other forms of racing?

"It would definitely be another notch in the belt. We've accomplished a lot in our careers as midget racers, and it's one race where we've kind of come up a little bit shy. A couple of times we've come up one spot short, so we'd like to win and be able to put a check mark next to this event as one that we've on."
