R.J. ran fourth in heat race action, but later passed five competitors in the A-Main en route to a strong runner-up performance behind only winner Jackie Boggs. Rod finished fifth in his heat race and also picked off five cars during the feature on his way to a fourth place effort. Delmas, the patriarch of the racing Conley family, won his heat race prior to claiming a fifth place finish in the main event.
