Farmington, MO (July 11) -- What started out as a good evening of racing at St Francois County Raceway was washed out just quick. Fans had turned out for the Saturday evening affair with J-98 The Boot in the house as the featured sponsor of the week. Also on hand were the East Central Missouri Shriners for the 50/50 drawing.

The evening got underway with the presentation of colors by the East Central Missouri Shriners. They brought along their fire truck and carried the colors of our nation and the State of Missouri.

Racing did get underway on schedule. Total of six races were completed. Scottie Gretzmacher, St Genevieve, MO and David Chilton, Farmingotn, MO were winners in heat race action for the 600 Multi Division. Shane Blair, Potosi, MO and Chris Boyd, Park Hills, MO winners in the Pure Street Division. Sprint Division found Keith Burch, Farmington, MO and Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown, MO as winners.

That is when it all broke loose. The winds came howling through the area followed by heavy rain and some hail. Saturdays show would be over at this point. Fans scurried to the vehicle and under the grandstands for cover from the rain.

With the show being a rain out. Ticket stubs and armbands for the pits will be honored for the next two race nights, unless one is a special show, then an extra week will be given. Saturday Show was a $5 grandstand night.
