Mr. Oily and Castrol Present Full Race Program at West Plains

Hot temperatures and dry weather conditions didn't deter the faithful race fans who attended the Mr. Oily and Castrol night at the races, as weekly racing resumed at West Plains Motor Speedway Saturday night.
In the IMCA Modified feature event Billy Romans of West Plains took the honors this week, followed by a host of local drivers including Carmon Vincent, Kevin Collins, Brandon Ball, Chris Piper and Jason Hughes all of the West Plains area.
Balance of the field included: John Mostrom of Flippin, AR, Bryan McKee of Mtn. Home, AR, Calvin Tribble, Marty Toten, Trent Cockrum and Don Marsh, all of the West Plains, Rustin Miller of Houston, MO, Lonnie Judd of Caulfield, MO, Jerry Croney of West Plains, Al Bernal of Myrtle, MO, Danny Peterson and Dexter Frost, both of West Plains, Richard Smith of Williford, AR, Scott Crigler of Alton, MO, and Brian Judd of Caulfield, MO.
Stan Ellison of West Plains secured the win in the Super Stock feature event, followed by Derald Kelly, Dee Kelly, and Todd Kelly, all of Birch Tree, MO, Jeff North of Rogersville, MO, Bill Dixon of Thayer, MO, Aaron Dicks of Gassville, AR, Dave Wallace of Theodosia, MO, and Cody Kelly of Birch Tree.
West Plains' Chuck Russell won the Hobby Stock feature this week. Rounding out the top five were Bobby Bryant of West Plains, Brian Ratliff of Hardy, AR, Bobby Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO, Mike Elliott of Ellsinore, MO.
Balance of the field included: Marty Toten of Pomona, Greg L:ute of Hardy, AR, Wayne DeGase of Squires, MO, Ken Williams of Mtn. Home, AR, Don Wilson of Willow Springs, MO, Dean Smith and Kyle Freyermuth, both of Mammoth Spring, AR, and Chris Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO.
Cruiser class feature winner was Scott North of Willow Springs, MO, followed by Chris Skinner of Moody, MO, Clint Seamans of Imboden, AR, Shane HItt of Birch Tree, MO, and Billy Harden of West Plains.
Balance of the field included: Jason Johnson of Hardy, AR, Andrew Harden, Donald Collins, Michael Lewis, Dudley Collins and Truman Poole, all of West Plains, Philip Chainey of Springfield, MO, Les Snyder of Birch Tree, MO, and Bobby Skinner of Moody, MO.
Front Wheel Drive feature winner was Benny Arnall of Hartville, MO, followed by Steve Farris of Flippin, AR, and Mike Harrill of West Plains.
Taking his first feature win of the season in the Youth Hobby class was Anthony Carnal of Cabool, MO, followed by Zach Hurtt of Mtn. Grove, MO, Nicholas Black of Van Buren, AR, Tyler Chainey of Springfield, MO and Rowdy Trivitt of Williford, AR.
Next week Medlock Truss of Ash Flat, AR, will be sponsoring a full weekly racing program. Gates will open at 5 p.m., hotlaps at 6:30 p.m., with racing at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $7, senior citizens $4, kids 7-11 $2 and those 6 and under are always free. West Plains Motor Speedway is located 6 miles south of West Plains on US Hwy. 63.
Race fans are reminded to mark their calendar for the Inaugural Kenny Wallace Race Night, Thursday, June 16, Wallace will be available for autographs and pictures from 5:30 to 6:30 before an open wheel modified event where he will compete with local drivers for $1000 to win.
