Seventy-five different sprint car drivers have combined talents to send the Hoosier Tire MSCS Season into a flying start. Mother Nature captured the second show at Lincoln Speedway, but the other two races were timely victories over large fields for Bud Kaeding and Kevin Briscoe. As previous MSCS feature winners both drivers moved up on the All Time Winners List. Briscoe is now tied with Hud Cone for second on that list with 5 each.

Three of the top MSCS drivers, year in and year out, have converted consistant runs in both of the features held to propel them into the top spots in the early season points race. Alex shanks, Chase Stockon, and Jerry Ruble know how to points race and they are out in front early.

Hoosier Tire Midwest is the series sponsor and MSCS regulations include the use of a Hoosier DT-3 on the right rear of the sprint car to help provide even competition.

Two-time National Champion Alex Shanks of Marion, IL, already heads the list for the points chase which includes a number of strong contenders. Shawn Krockenberger at fourth spot in the points is one of the drivers not in the Top Ten at the end of last season. Others on the list are waiting on opportunities to strike and move up.

Every MSCS Past Champion was in the field at Haubstadt on May 7th and all 4 made the feature! Almost all of the top ten drivers have been around this tough brand of points competition before and know their way around most of the tracks on the schedule.

The Top Forty Drivers and their current standing in the 2006 Hosier Tire Midwest Points Standings are posted on the MSCS Website at www.mscssprints.com. And a list has been attached heretofore for those who view this web site.
