NARA BoB Open Wheel Modified Series Heads to Ponderosa and Richmond This Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY -- After the 2005 season opener last Saturday, the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series ventures back to the central part of the state with stop #2 on the 2005 season this Friday, May 20th, at the Ponderosa (KY) Speedway and stop #3 this Saturday, May 21st, at the Richmond (KY) Raceway.

On Friday Night, May 20th, the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series rolls into Junction City, KY's Ponderosa Speedway. Ponderosa Speedway is located just south of Danville, KY in Junction City, KY. The Larry Yantz promoted facility is located west of US 127 at Shelby City to Junction City, then 1.1 miles south on State Road 37, then 0.4 mile east, then north. On Saturday Night, May 21st, Richmond Raceway will host the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series for second event of the season for the BoB Mod squad. Richmond Raceway is located off Highway 52 on Greens Crossing Road in Richmond, KY. Both nights of racing will see a complete show for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series with Racing Optics Time Trials, VP Fuels Making's Powers Heat Races, Dale Meyers Racing Engines/PAM Performance BE-Mains, and the Ratliff Motors A-Main paying $1,500 to win each night. The season opener for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series was held Saturday night, May 14th at Soggy Bottom Speedway. Hanover, IN's Joey Kramer beat defending series champion Kelly Warren in a last lap drag race to the finish line. 21st-starting Jimmy Wethersfield was third, 18th-starting Justin Ratliff was fourth, and fast qualifier Trent Young rounded out the top five.
